MGBK Campus Expo Bekasi Regency
Citra Widya Edukasi Oil Palm Polytechnic (Poltek CWE) participated in the MGBK (Guidance and Counseling Teachers Association) Campus Expo, held on Monday, February 5, 2023, at the PGRI Metland Tambun Building, Bekasi Regency.
This annual event featured more than 50 higher education institutions and was attended by more than 60 senior high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) in Bekasi Regency and surrounding areas. The event served as an important platform for students to explore various higher education options and obtain information about campus life and future career opportunities.
Poltek CWE Participation
As a vocational higher education institution focusing on oil palm production and processing technology, Poltek CWE attended the event to introduce its campus profile and student-produced innovation products.
On this occasion, Poltek CWE showcased various featured products derived from palm oil processing, including:
- Biodiesel: An environmentally friendly energy product developed through student innovation.
- Soap Made from Palm Oil: A high-quality care product made from natural ingredients.
- Briquettes Made from Oil Palm Fronds: An environmentally friendly alternative energy product created through plantation waste optimization.
Through this exhibition, visitors were able to directly observe the quality of products developed through students’ practical learning, combining theoretical knowledge with industry-based field practice.
Objectives
Poltek CWE’s participation in the MGBK Campus Expo aimed to:
- Introduce the campus and the strengths of its study programs to SMA/SMK students.
- Provide education on the potential of oil palm as a strategic national commodity.
- Showcase student research and innovation that can benefit society.
- Build strong relationships with schools in Bekasi Regency and surrounding areas.
Through this activity, Poltek CWE is expected to become more widely recognized by students and become a leading choice for those interested in studying oil palm science and the potential of its derivative products.
