Losses Management

Equipment efficiency will not always remain at 100%; therefore, losses are inevitable. The magnitude of these losses depends greatly on operational handling, machine condition, and the materials being processed.

Losses Management is essential for determining the allowable loss limits for each item of equipment, enabling the performance of each unit to be evaluated and efficient final results to be achieved.

Materials

  • Palm oil mill process flow diagram
  • Working principles and functions of each equipment unit
  • Countable/Visible Losses and Uncountable/Invisible Losses
  • Allowable loss limits for each equipment unit
  • Final processing success parameters
  • Loss-prevention measures

Objectives

  • Provide in-depth understanding of the concept of losses in palm oil mill (PKS) processing.
  • Equip participants with the ability to identify, analyze, and control losses at every process stage.
  • Determine allowable loss limits for each equipment unit to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Improve participants’ ability to apply loss-prevention strategies for more optimal production results.

Duration

  • 2 days

Advantages

  • Materials are prepared by experienced practitioners and experts in the oil palm industry.
  • Uses real palm oil mill case studies, not theory alone.
