The maintenance stage in the nursery is highly critical when handled by insufficiently skilled workers. Improper use of herbicides, sprayers, and seedling selection can cause losses.

Many rejected seedlings may already have been delivered, planted, and maintained in the field, even though this could have been prevented during the nursery stage. This risk can be reduced by equipping nursery foremen with nursery-related knowledge and skills.

Planting Media: Large polybags with topsoil and basal fertilizer according to GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standards.
Installations: Drainage, irrigation, and shading systems.
Sprout Selection: Observation of morphology, seedling height, frond count, and root health.
Penanaman: Teknik pemindahan dari pre-nursery ke main nursery dengan standar minimal stress seedlings.
Pemeliharaan Pre-Nursery: Penyiraman, fertilization, pengendalian weeds, hingga persiapan pindah ke main nursery.
